"Of course," you say to yourself, "rescue is about the dogs." Many adopters don't really think about what this means. You want a well-behaved dog, already-housetrained, and as young as possible so you don't lose them too soon? And you want one that is perfectly healthy and with no behavioral issues? Ok, so you want the perfect dog.
Well, there is no such thing as the perfect dog! That's why rescue exists. My job is to find a great home for each special Springer. It's about the dogs! In order to rescue, YOU need to think about if you really want to save a dog in need. We cannot fill your order for the perfect dog. No two dogs are alike-- you can't get one just like your previous dog. You need to be flexible and open-minded and patient. Matching a rescue dog with a forever family is an art, not a science. Every situation is different. We work very hard to look out for the long-term happiness and success of each rescued Springer. Rescue is about the dogs! Rescuing a Springer can be so rewarding! Just check out the happy endings!
Thanks for taking the time to read and digest this!
